I have purchased this product quite a few times before writing this review. I actually thought it was a coincidence first two packs were nasty, so I purchased a 3rd... This time, it only got worse!
The first time I purchased these, I was like awesome, some chews by Jolly Rancher. Finally some competition with Starburst... So I purchased this product and on the way home, tried to eat them; Which by the way, is a horrible idea... We all know opening the package of Fruit Chews will reveal a smaller set of individually wrapped pieces. What we didn't know... was the unwrapping of smaller pieces would be a nightmare. I could not get 1 of my Fruit Chews to be free of paper. I don't care how slow you peel that wrapper, just when you get to the end, it sticks to the candy...
The Flavor taste like thick sugary corn starch... It is extremely thick , mushy, and does not dissolve well in your mouth... Basically you are chewing thick lumps of sugary goo that will eventually dissolve in your stomach over a long period of time. It says the serving size is 1 package, but for health concerns, I wouldn't serve these at all.
So I purchased another pack for evaluation and had the exact same scenario, I literally tossed my Jolly Rancher Fruit Chews out the window in disappointment... After doing so, I realized I needed the wrapper so I could scan it for a review... So unfortunately I had to buy another one.
The 3rd package of fruit chews was the worst... Not only were they soft and mushy, but they even tossed in an un-wrapped fruit chew! How nice of them... At least I didn't have to try peeling off the paper. Actually I didn't eat that pack either... instead I used it for scanning purposes.
Jolly Rancher should definitly stick to hard candies...
If your looking for fruit chews, stick with the obvious... Starburst.

- If you happen to get a pack for any reason, such as on halloween... Toss them in the freezer to allow easy un-wrapping of paper.
- If you then decide to eat these, drink lots of water.
